There's nothing quite as enjoyable...

...as being a high school teacher and losing your voice during the course of the day. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to talk much today, but I'm reviewing with my students for a test tomorrow, which means I'm talking pretty much all day long. Even once the 'official' school day ends, I still have a meeting to attend, at which I'll again have to talk.

Yeah, today sucks.

At least I don't really feel ill other than the lack of a voice, although I am starting to strain my vocal cords from forcing myself to talk. When I get home, I'm going to have some hot tea with honey and just curl up for a little while.

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday.
