NECW & WWW at the 17th Annual Hot Dog Safari, Sunday, June 4th at Suffolk Downs in Revere, MA
New England Championship Wrestling and World Women's Wrestling will be featured as part of the 17th Annual HOT DOG SAFARI, a benefit event for The Joey Fund, which battles Cystic Fibrosis, on Sunday, June 4th at the Suffolk Down racetrack in Revere, MA. The event runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Created by Boston sports radio legend, Eddie Andelman, admission to the event gets you all the hot dogs, sausages and ice cream sundaes you can eat. There will be athlete appearances and a live radio broadcast on 96.9 FM with Eddie Andelman and WROR's Loren & Wally, as well as a full card of NECW & WWW action.
All the stars of NECW & WWW will be donating their services for this event and 100% of the proceeds benefit The Joey Fund. Six bouts, plus a 20 man, over-the-top-rope battle royale will be featured. Matches signed so far include:
NECW Heavyweight Champion, "Hurricane" John Walters in a non-title bout versus the debuting Kofi Kingston. A PWF Mayhem Junior Heavyweight Championship Match pitting champion, "The Talent" T. J. Richter against the number one contender for his title, The R.I.O.T., Kellan Thomas. The PWF Mayhem Heavyweight Champion, "The Human Nightmare Evan Siks teams with NECW Television Champion, "Big Guns" Frankie Arion to collide with former 3 time NECW Tag Team Champions, Sabotage (D.C. Dillinger & Eddie Edwards). A special six man tag tam challenge has been signed as PWF Mayhem Tag Team Champions, The Canadian Superstars J-Busta & Dave Cole) and Brian Cairo, who will be forced to don the tights, take on the team of 2D Edge (Jose Perez & Pat Masters) and their partner, Natalia! A special NECW-WWW Mixed Tag Team Triple Threat Challenge as PWF Mayhem Women's Champion, Ariel teams with Kid Mikazi to take on the teams of Tanya Lee and Scott Reed and Nikki Roxx and "Straight Edge" Brian Fury. Plus a special WWW bout as Della Morte squares off against Lexus.
