Why the hell was Ann Charlotte not a Zombie?
Btw this tag is actually hilarious because it actually ends up being true in the second book. In Dreadfully Ever After, Book #2 of the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies book series, by Steve Hockensmith, Ann de Bourgh is a zombie. It doesn't say exactly when she transforms, but she definitely is one. And of course, in the book, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith, Charlotte transforms into a zombie and marries Mr. Collins. Kind of wish I could message this person to tell them. I definitely queued a lot of posts on my blog from her PPZ tag. So far this book is definitely more trash than the first one, and this is really because Jane Austen's original P&P served as a "spine/structure/framework" for the first book. Which is what made the first book so funny and deliciously delightful. Of course the characters are the same, but Jane Austen's structure is barely there, so this book is more like a monster/horror/thriller than a satire on one of the most beloved literary novels of all time. And I'm trash, and I'm cool with that, tbh.

I really think that people should be allowed to read anything they want. Harry Potter, Twilight, Fifty Shades, parodies and satire on classics (like the PPZ series), and I would never begrudge anyone for wanting to read a book because they saw the movie. I am a very anti-literary snob. Life is too short to pick apart what people are reading. Hakuna matata, live and let live. I used to love the Confessions of a Shopaholic series. Becky Bloomwood was my gal. And sometimes, if you give people enough time, parodies and satire and smut can make "literary classics" seem a lot less intimidating.
