Pitch Perfect series (2012-2015)

I love all of you awesome nerds!

"Aca-scuse me?"

"You're one of the a cappella girls. I'm one of those a cappella boys, and we're gonna have aca-children. It's inevitable."

"I'd almost forgotten that I ordered a DVD of Pitch Perfect; you only watch the download, but you should own what you love, it's that simple."
pp. 367 of You, paperback tv show tie-in edition, by Caroline Kepnes

Today is the last day to watch the Pitch Perfect movies (1-3) on Netflix, at least in Canada.  Guinevere Beck's favourite movie.  It just occured to me she never would have been able to see the sequels, poor thing.  This quote makes a lot of sense for Joe though.  And I guess Peach Salinger too.  Rewatching the series was such a throwback for me.  I'm not sure if the movies are moving to Prime Video, but I had a lot of fun watching them when I worked at the Disney Store. The movies were a bit of everything - romance, comedy, musical performances, and heartfelt moments.  In You, there are FOURTEEN references to this movie.  I understand that it was Beck's favourite movie on Netflix, but I keep trying to figure out why it is referenced so many times (way more than any other movie or book reference of Joe's).  It was a good movie, a pretty solid chick flick/teen movie.  I thought of it as very entertaining, I didn't really think it was that profound.
