I felt so happy when I read this part. I don't know if it was a nod to the first movie (probably not), but I liked it. This is pretty much the reason why Descendants is my favourite Disney Channel franchise. Because the whole franchise is about redefining traditional fairy tale roles. Villain, princess, prince, heroine, anti-hero, sidekick. There are some flaws. Apparently the reason why Hades is stuck on the Isle is because his God status was somehow taken away - like what? But it's a pretty solid franchise, especially given that it's a medley of basically ever Disney movie, lol. Anyhow, pairing this quote and gifset made me really happy :)
