"No way!" said Evie, annoyed that she wasn't being taken seriously. "You guys seem to have forgotten I'm a witch too! Just like my mom. And I like myself just fine."

"You're a witch?" Carlos said. "Oh right, you are a witch. I did forget."

Evie nodded. "It's okay, people tend to forget. Everyone just thinks I'm an evil princess."

This book was a hot mess. I really feel that Melissa de la Cruz needed a harsher editor and spellcheck. But this quote was awesome. Evie is so underrated in the franchise, and she is overshadowed by Mal most of the time. Everyone assumes that she is a spoiled princess, but they always forget that she is a witch (her momma is the Evil Queen). Unfortunately the movie franchise really defers magic and spells to Mal. In the movies, Evie is a fashion designer who opens her own brand, and she supports younger aspiring designers (Dizzy Tremaine post coming soon). Mal, Uma, and Evie would be such a powerful witch coven. I really prefered the first book in this series, but there are a few posts that are great for my gif quote series.
