I don't know the scare floor manager's name. Sulley just calls him "buddy". I do love this scene though because it shows the urgency of the work the Scarers are doing (in contrast to the light-hearted "laugh floor" at the end of the movie).
I miss being a Cast Member and working for Disney. I think employees are called "cast members" because we are all part of a production. Whether we are working in retail malls, or mousekeeping in the parks, or dancers in the parades, we are all part of the production for our "guests" (Disney speak for customers). I just miss it so much. For these monsters, their "stage" is the childrens' bedrooms. Also all of the background music is so snazzy. I always say that this was the most brilliant idea Pixar ever came up with. The whole "there's a monster in my closet" manifested into a CGI fantasy world where monsters use screams to power their city.
