🌟Shining Girls (2022- ) vs The Shining Girls (2013)🌟
What I really wanted to do here was bring some of the book characters from The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes to life with gifs from the tv show. I skimmed the book. It wasn't bad. In the book though, Kirby doesn't suffer from a reality that is constantly shifting. I understand that Harper travels to different days, but I didn't understand why Jin Sook and Kirby find themselves in shifting realities. But anyhow, the tv show and the book were enjoyable. To be honest, I don't know if I'd have gotten through the book without seeing the tv show.
Kirby Mazrachi. I am not sure why in the Apple tv miniseries she has another name, Sharon Leeds, before the assault.
Jin-Sook Au in the book is renamed Jin Sook Gwansun in the tv miniseries. She is a social worker in the book, whereas in the tv show she is a physicist.
Willie Rose is one of the victims in the book. Catherine Galloway-Peck's last name is changed to Catherine Moore in the tv show. Margot is given the last name Zelle in the tv show.
Julia Madrigal is in the tv show and book. In the book she is an economics student at Northwestern University. In the tv miniseries, she is a social worker (the job Jin-Sook has in the book).
