Decided to redo this post with scrapbook links because I loved the post so much.

I do want to say though that the Tiana concept art in the above edit and in the edit below (second and third sketches in the Tiana row) has been credited to Disney animation, when this is an error. These sketches were actually made by David Gilson in 2007. A lot of his Tiana fanart from that time has been considered to be Disney concept art by the fandom, because it is so beautiful. I loved how he drew her hair, and her expressions in his art. The actual Tiana concept art by Disney actually looks a lot stiffer, and usually her hair is in a tight bun. I remember there was a lot of controversy about Tiana because she was the first African American Disney Princess. Disney Animation obviously didn't want to offend anybody. It's funny that even today, 12 years after the movie was made, David Gilson's art still gets passed around as Tiana concept art. And honestly, sometimes I forget which pieces are by Disney and which pieces are by David.

All this strengthened Aurora's new resolve and crystalized her intentions. She came up with a Plan.
A Plan to improve herself. To keep herself busy... To make what was left of the world better for those around her...
The Plan was this: each month she would work on one quality she felt was lacking in until she was a better person. First was Gratitude. Next was Patience. After that was Pure Thoughts.
She made lots of wonderful little lists chock-full of ideas for exercising each deficient part of her psyche.... Page 68
