Everything in the forest has its season. Where one thing falls, another grows. Maybe not what was there before, but something new and wonderful all the same.

Post 2 Watching
Bambi 2 today. The movie is kind of a "midquel", because it takes place after Bambi's mother dies, and his father has to raise him.
Which would never actually happen, but this is an animated fantasy/fairytale. The animation is gorgeous and colourful, a lot brighter and more cheerful than the
1942 film. The animals (Flower, Thumper, Bambi) are a lot more cute and childlike in this movie.
Edit: Finished watching the movie. I actually really loved it! The animation was gorgeous. I also liked that there wasn't really a "villain character", like the first movie. Both movies really felt like life from the point of view of a young deer. We got a little bit of Bambi's father's perspectives which was cute, although it is very unlikely that he would have stuck around after he mated Bambi's mother. But I actually really enjoyed it. It is a really beautiful movie. The forest scenes, the seasons, the lighting, the animals... There was a depth to the animals' expressions and emotions that wasn't really there in the first movie.
I am so glad I watched both movies. And I am also so glad I didn't brush aside the sequel.
