Jane Austen at Home by Lucy Worsley

I had a lot of fun re-reading this book.  The third picture, a crumpled piece of paper, is my notes.  The page references are for quotes from Pride and Prejudice, and also ideas for my Regency series posts.  (Some are in my queue right now).  I love this book though.  I love the way Lucy is able to intergrate quotes from Jane Austen's novels (and early work/juvenilia) with her life history.

I can't wait for you guys to see my Regency Series Bonnets and Shopping posts.  I love that Lucy Worsley paints a very detailed picture of the Georgian era in the 18th century, with her words and the writings's of Jane Austen -  her letters, novels, and shorter satrical pieces.

A new Austen-ite goal is for me to re-read Jane Austen at Home each time I've finished one of her novels.  I am planning on re-reading Pride and Prejudice one more time, and then I'm going to re-read Sense and Sensibility, because it is a relatively simple novel (fewer characters), and I adore Marianne Dashwood.  I just want to wrap her in a blanket and make her hot chocolate and cookies forever.  Marianne is just so sweet and pure and innocent and naiive and romantic and sensitive, if she were a real person, I don't think she would last long in the world.

Planning on making a friends locked/personal post at some point.
