The Netflix film (2021) The book (2018) Re-reading
the book today with
the audiobook. Have been watching the movie on my iPad while eating lunch.
No matter how many times I read the book and watch the movie, I still find it so compelling.
Of course,
The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, is a parody on this film, and other similar books.
The book and the movie in conjunction are the perfect girl's night in for me.
I think I have all the gifs on tumblr beneath the cut. If there are gifsets that I missed
Books read in 2018: The Woman in the Window - A.J Finn
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned in all my time working with children if I could whittle those years down to a single revelation, it’s this: They are extraordinarily resilient. They can withstand neglect; they can survive abuse; they can endure, even thrive, where adults would collapse like umbrellas.”
books around the world
agoraphobia: in translation the fear of the marketplace, in practice the term for a range of anxiety disorders. first documented in the late 1800s, then “codified as an independent diagnostic entity” a century later, though largely comorbid with panic disorder. you can read all about it, if you like, in the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders, fifth edition. dsm-5 for short. it’s always amused me, that title; it sounds like a movie francise. liked mental disorder 5? you’ll love the sequel!

There are some things that need to be said about me. I have an anxiety disorder. I’m… uh… agoraphobic. I can’t go outside.
