Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
Rewatching Snow White today. I just figured I haven't seen a Disney movie in a long time, and someone on tumblr has been making really beautiful, high-quality gifsets.
This movie means a lot to me. I find that as I get older, it provides me even more comfort.
Especially when I feel overwhelmed with my own trauma and depression. I can watch this movie and remember how the OG Disney Princess handled all of it - being relegated to the position of servant in her own home by her stepmother, being hunted, the forest coming alive at night, and having to remake herself and survive with the seven dwarfs. And all the while, having un-faltering kindness and sweetness, despite the harshness of the world she is exposed to.
Someone could probably articulate this way better than I can, haha.
