It's really nice that this audiobook is read by Anne Hathaway. I believe she reads the first 3 books of the series.
This has been a really nice break from Dickens. After I finish this book, I am going to reread for the millionth time ALP and watch the miniseries.
I wish Netflix would adapt the book series the way they did for ASOUE. They could follow the books closely, and really depict New York Culture. And all the minor characters that Disney left out (Boris, Tina, Hank, Shameeka, The Boy Who Hates it when They Put Corn in His Chilli, Ronnie the neighbour, The Blind Guy, Kenny...and if they made Grand-mere and Mia and Michael and Lilly like how they are in the books. But Disney probably has proprietary over it.
I just feel like the books were hilarious and the Disney movies missed out on Meg Cabot's humour. And the New York vibe is so crucial to these books. San Francisco is beautiful, but it just didn't cut it.
Also these books would just work better as a 10-part binge-worthy miniseries.
