The concept art/sketches/art from each of the gifsets

Fluttershy and Snow White - perfect fit :) They are both shy and they love animals and nature, and they are both so sweet and easily frightened.

Merida and Rainbow Dash - another really great fit. They are both adventurous and impulsive, and hate dressing formally.

Belle and Twilight Sparkle - Both are big readers and I am sure they would have so much to talk about. Especially since they both spend a lot of time reading about new lands and people :) Belle would be fascinated by Equestria.

Of course, maybe around here there were dragons and unicorns. Who knew? They had talking teacups.

pp. 40: It wasn't enough to catch a glimpse of these lands and ideas through the small window of the pages she turned. She wanted to step through and feel the yellow waters of the Yangtze herself, to hear the celestial music of foreign pipes to taste the food described by adventurers who traveled puposefully into the areas on maps labeled Here there be tygres.

Rarity and Cinderella - I'm a bit torn about this actually. I know that Rarity would love the glamour aspect of Cinderella's life, but for most of her fairytale, she was a servant girl. Maybe Lottie would be a better fit for Rarity, and Fluttershy would be a better fit for Cinderella.

Tiana and Applejack - I can see this friendship working out, actually. Both believe in the value of hard work, growing a tree from a seed, and baking is a mutual interest.

PinkiePie and Rapunzel - Tbh I feel like Anna would be a better fit for PinkiePie. PinkiePie is really hyper. Although in this scene Rapunzel has PinkiePie mood swings. And Pinkie is really great a cleaning up :)
