Coloured with gel pens, decorated with stickers. Pages from
this colouring book. I love that although the designs are simple, they aren't so intricate that you can't write in between the lines (or decorate them with stickers) :) I can't really draw - I wish I could. I'd love to be able to draw Disney Princesses doing random things, like
Amy Mebberson in her
Pocket Princesses series.
But I love doing this. Colouring. Filling a page with bright sparkly colours and stickers. It makes me feel happy. And accomplished.
It's been a lot emotionally. Honouring
salukfan. Uploading her 3300+ gifs TWICE. All of the posts with me geeking out about the movie. It's been a lot. I am very emotionally spent after all of the...exertion. I guess that's why I like colouring. You have to remember to colour in the lines, but once you know the design you can tune out a bit and go to other places in your mind. Less intense places.
KOT was an awesome Disney movie, especially for a sequel. It was intense though. Even the moments where Aladdin and Jasmine were just hanging out, there was intensity, because you felt their love for each other, that they would support each other as individuals seeking self-actualization, and that was powerful. The animation was intense because there was just so much going on. Especially in the Genie sequences. It's just nice to take a break from that intensity.
Disney movies are usually pretty intense though. Even Dumbo, the shortest Disney movie. I always cry when I watch it. The only Disney movie I can watch and just chill is A Goofy Movie. :)
BTW check this out:
KOT came before Mulan, so I'm sure this was just a coincidence. :)
Sorry about all the post spam lately. My extra userpics are expiring soon (I'll still have a TON, way more than most people on this site), but I'll miss being to select whatever icon matches my mood or whichever movie/tv show I am nerding out about. I'll miss that. But I'll be okay :) November 2nd is still a ways away :)
