This is the bad time. The last three weeks of June turn everyone in to an ass and the stress is enough to kill you.

http://www.petitiononline.com/dbs201bl/ For one. I think online petitions are kind of useless. And secondly though I understand the spirit of the petition, and why people are trying to change the new tax laws that Harper implemented. I think this is an ass backwards way to go about it.
See this petition assumes that this new way of affording stuff for your kids is a legitimate way to give Canadians their money back. And the only beef is that parents who have their kids in the arts don't enjoy the same benefits as though who have their kids in sports.
The problem for me seems to be that the concept itself is flawed. Sports and art for children should be well funded and affordable to the average family on an average income. And the lower and middle class should be taxed less so they can afford costs associated with having their kids in programs.
What they shouldn't be is taxed too much and required to hold on to receipts for childrens activities that they send to the government for a partial reimbursement,
