Exciting book event! Tomorrow Saturday May 15th!
So I know there are tons of events going on all weekend in Seattle but if you have the chance here's a good one:
We are hosting a Reading/Signing with Phoebe Kitanidis (that's phoebe_k here on lj) for her debut Young Adult novel, Whisper. So come on over to the Downtown Seattle Barnes and Noble this Saturday (that's tomorrow folks!) at 2pm, we'll be back in the cafe. Lots of fun times to be had so hope to see you there!
Whisper is about two sisters who can telepathically hear other people's thoughts/desires/wishes and how each of them deal with this hereditary trait and each other. I couldn't put this book down! Joy and Icka are fully fleshed out characters and the emotions are real and raw (yes, I cried a few times) and the supporting cast really round out the story. There's plenty of action/adventure mixed into this emotional story. I didn't want it to end!
