Playing Fetch

Playing fetch with Layla and Lexi is so funny to me. Lexi will bring the ball, Layla will go and stand close to the edge of the yard in the direction I am throwing it and wait. I'll get the ball, throw and both dogs will go for it. Though Layla has half of the distance covered already, she still only gets the ball about half the time! And when she does, she will either horde it and lay down with it, denying it to Lexi who waits patently for Layla to get up and walk away. Or she will immediately drop it and walk away to eat grass. Either way, I eventually get the ball back from Lexi and we repeat the game.

My bitch is so odd. Oh, how I love her.
