Adversity

Last night I was on a friends porch smoking and I see a guy on the sidewalk and hear other guys behind him. No big deal, its midnight and we live in a college town. Then I hear my car crying out in anger (she honks five times fast if you try to fuck with her and her alarm is on.) "What the FUCK are you doing to my car!" comes out of my mouth before I even realize it. They scurry up the street laughing and calling me a bitch. The bastards didn't do any damage they were just seeing if she was unlocked. Who knows what would have happened if she was. Stupid Frat Boys.

Today, a dog that I'm supposed to stay 4 nights with on Wed would not let me into his house for his mid day visit. I'm glad to find out now, when his owners are still in town. But still, facing a 72 pound black flat coat retriever that is growling at you, heading towards you and not responding to your "I'm not scary" body language communications is pretty scary. I met this dog and her companion, a puppy, yesterday, not 24 hours previous to my visit today, and they were both so sweet. The puppy was in her gated area today but yesterday she was the cautious one and Bear was a big love bug. Sigh. We tried again later in the day with the owner present but not made known to Bear and I got the same reaction. We are going to try again on Monday and I will also feed him his dinner then as well. He has to get used to me because his parents are going skiing and I'm gonna be the one there for them.

And then to finish it off, today I'm sitting at a stop light minding my own business when I hear a polite toot-toot behind me. I look in my rear-view and see four Frat Boys in a car, one with a cowboy hat on, all giving me the finger. WTF??? Sigh.....my bumper stickers are giving me hell this week. I just slowly shake my head at them and look away. Once again, Stupid Frat Boys.

Sigh...
