Author's note: Just something I came up on the top of my head when I should be sleeping. Also it's been really quite here on LJ. Needed to create some activity.
It comes in many shapes and sizes. You will hear story after story about how it happened. Each will be different, even though after some point they all start to sound similar. Regardless each story has burn it’s memory it to the hearts of its victim.
Today we speak about Dong Youngbae’s story.
Youngbae’s came in the form of a scrawny country boy with a crooked smile. It was a boy just barely a teenager. Lee Seunghyun.
Lee Seunghyun was determined and stubborn, a hard worker. The kind of boy who was so confident he’d make it, he was willing to sacrifice the “now” of his life. Little Lee Seunghyun was a boy so persuasive, he talked his way into a hip hop company even though he was clearly more cut out for pop. This boy was one with his own stories. He was a Hopeful dreamer willing to do what he had to to make those dreams a reality. His stories followed him and helped to showcase the limitless potential of such raw talent that was, Lee Seunghyun. The boy was many things. One of those many things would be what this story is really about. Dong Youngbae couldn’t see that then, though. All he saw was his very own lump of clay, a masterpiece just waiting to happen.
Youngbae took Seunghyun under his wing. Honestly it was bound to happen. Every area where Seunghyun needed help, Youngbae was already well versed in. Seunghyun was more than grateful to take in all that Youngbae had taught. Youngbae watched everyday as the boy grew better. He was getting better because of him. It was all thanks to Youngbae. Youngbae soon fell in love with the feeling of it all. The feeling of having someone know you, while at the same time knowing how much they value your… everything. The way you walk, talk, breathe, move and just well, do anything makes them want to do better. Youngbae inspired Seunghyun and that feeling was like no other.
Before Youngbae knew it two years had passed. Everything was perfect and then one day, it wasn’t. Bigbang was preparing to debut and the groups youngest members were eliminated. Youngbae went with Little Lee Seunghyun to help him pack his bags. As he packed he didn’t know what to say, what to do. He couldn’t change the descision, it was already made. Seunghyun was leaving, he was leaving and Youngbae couldn’t do a thing. As he rode with Seunghyun to the bus station, a sadness started to consume him. Was this all his fault? If he had been a better mentor could this have been prevented? What happens to Seungri? The questions were building up and Youngbae was spiraling down on the inside. Then two warm skinny arms wrapped around Youngbae and a sweet voice whispered in his ear.
“I promise I’ll be back Hyung, I promise, so don’t give up on me.”
With that, Seungri went off to his bus giving Youngbae one last look. Then with that last look Lee Seunghyun eyes sparkled and Youngbae swears in that moment he fell in love.
