sooo today i headed to times square to try to get lottery tickets for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels when I got there the guy working the lottery told me that the 2 main leads were both out..but i didnt really care since the main people weren't anyone i heard of anyway. so there was like 6 of us there, it was obviously everyone was going to win considering 20 something people usually win, but he made it fun, picking one at a time and calling the name out.
wandered around, then met up with my mom outside the theater and in we went. so turns out our seats were BOX SEATS! hahah it felt so weird sitting up there, you always see it in movies and its usually the "important people" haha i cant believe people pay $110 usually for those tickets cos while the view is good, you can't see everything 100% because of the railing.
anyways the play was really good!! it wasn't AMAZING but it was definitely entertaining and enjoyable and made us laugh A LOT! the story is about 2 con artists who have different methods, one's an oldish guy and the other is young and they con women into giving them their money. the jokes were so out of the blue sometimes(like they'd be singing and then would have a joke in the middle of the song) and so funny. the music was pretty fun too! it was a cute show, i'm glad i saw it. i always love the sets and the outfits and the dances and everything. i love broadway! haha anyways i recommend it! i need to rent the movie now.
