Can't seem to win on health lately

The whole left side of my face pain has returned the last handful of days with a vengeance. Easily hits 10+ and I don't assign level 10 to pain. Tylenol 3 or hydrocodone doesn't seem to touch it, although two doses of them (4 hours apart) does seem to help me sleep at least. Slept deep enough last night my back is stiff this morning!

It's so weird, though, because when the wave of pain subsides, it's pretty much gone.

Sometimes applying pressure (by temple, bridge of nose, upper gum) will work. Sometimes ice. Sometimes not. Hot and cold and eating definitely trigger. Pain always involve upper or lower teeth, but can also involve cheek, sinuses, up to the temple, down through the jaw. Out to the ear sometimes. Through the eye socket.

I've discovered that getting up and walking can help.

So I emailed in to the nurse to see if I can get an appt, and threw in that the church nurse spotted my heartbeat has been irregular lately also (figured couldn't hurt, even if it's not related) -- something about skipping beats but not in a regular pattern, either, so "irregularly irregular" was how she put it. I don't think it's a big deal; online says common and cut back on caffeine, but boo to that idea. Although I do wonder if that's why I get super dizzy sometimes when I stand.

She replied back fairly quickly that they can see me at 11:15 tomorrow.

Anyway. Bah. Something hasn't been right with that side of my face since the abscess a year ago, but not this bad. This is agonizing enough when it's hitting, I can't do anything hardly. But at least it comes in waves and then goes away. I don't think a bad tooth would act like that, but it might be some kind of nerve pain. Irene wondered if it was something in my neck, and maybe.

It doesn't always go completely away... just a lower level ache, and then it starts to ramp up and I know it's about to get bad.... I hope they can figure it out and quickly.
