Hello World!

I know, I've been MIA for awhile. Things have been super crazy, not to mention the fact that I had a nasty bout of food poisoning after dining with peiyu and peanut_toes. Don't get me wrong, it's not the company. In fact, the company was great and we had a wonderful time *cough* shopping *cough*. We went to that Japanese restaurant in Ion Orchard, next to Bread Society. Itachi or something. HORRIBLE can? I was on MC for so many days and spent most of the time curled up in bed, clutching my churning, aching tummy.

Anyway, I've made up my mind and decided to stay on in my current job. The fact is, I really enjoy what I'm doing, and I feel like what I'm doing is incredibly important, and that I'm making a difference in the lives of the students I interact with. Education is a person's future, and I feel good knowing that I'm contributing to that.

We recently swapped cubicles and now my area is completely open, and my monitor is just out there for everyone to see what I'm doing, hence I'm unable to do anything personal. I'm looking into buying a privacy screen so that I can do my own shit during the lull periods. $79 is super expensive to me, but I think it's a worthwhile investment.

I watched X-Men: First Class and can I just say OMFGWTHAWESOME! LOVED IT so freaking much. The chemistry and camaraderie between Young Prof X and Young Magneto was fantastic and I loved knowing how each character turned out this way. This prequel is amazing to me, and I don't care if it's not authentic to the comics or whatever shit like some comic book nazis are complaining about. Oh, speaking of nazis, how freaking mind-blowing was the beginning of the movie? It started with such a punch and caught me off guard.

LOVED THE MOVIE. *squee!*

Ok, off to catch up on my flist.
