it kind of pisses me off that medical technology is good enough to give us penile implants, yet this is the best we can do for someone who has lost their face.
(Yes, I know that impotence due to prostatectomies affects way more people than mucormycosis or horrific facial trauma. No, i'm not denying the importance of having a sex life. Still, when a humorous, middle-aged cancer survivor walks in the door with half a face, you REALLY, REALLY wish there were more to offer him.)
