Back still hurts today, maybe I should consider not taking the hardest classes two months after starting...who'da thunk. Spent most of the day playing my delicious computer game and reading. January-March is a really hard time for people like me who slave away on the stilts and act like idiots for money and the merriment of others. No one has jobs or festivals for us to work at. Which means I is broke. So reading and playing computer games are my major source of entertainment, that and anything free.
My dad is coming to visit next week. I'm glad I picked a country to reside in that he has to travel to at least twice a year for buisness. It means family is more than just a 3 by 5 photo hanging on the fridge.
There was this artist Zdislaw Beksinski, polish, a real favorite of mine ever since Bartek got me a book of his work for my birthday. Sort of like H.R. Giger but with more color, less mechanical, more organic, and blurrier. Yet still a truely twisted mind. He was murdered two days ago, it's been all over the new here. For a really stupid reason. The son of one of his good friends needed money, Beksinski wouldn't lend it to him so this 19-year old kid, with his 16-year old friend, stabbed him 20 times. i can't explain why, but this makes me really sad. I guess I forget that artist, even great ones, can still be killed by idiots and for the most outstandingly stupid of reasons.
