A real weekend

So now that I am working my ass off (if I'm not in rehearsal I'm teaching or sleeping) I can now finally appreciate the beauty that is a weekend. I slept late today, ran my 4.5 km, and started to set my painting studio up!!!! Which i have been waiting 2 months to do. Okay so it's not an official studio, Bartek and i now have a proper basement which we must rent at an extra cost but none the less, it is well worth having a place to organize and hang all the damn costumes, plus it affords me a nook to set my paints in. Soooo nice, to be honest it's a relief for me to have some creative endeavor that is not intimately linked with my boyfriend. Please don't get me wrong, I love him (duh) but so much of our lives are bound together (work, play, travel, living together) that I need to be a creative being on my own. Plus I've noticed that while sporadic, when the urge to paint does arise I become very bitchy if I'm not allowed (or to busy) to give it an outlet.

So bully, I can paint now, if miss halpern will please step up to the podium, her golden cookie will be awarded :-)
