*last night talked to kara on her way up to lindsay's cottage and crys and aub were supposed to call...but didnt
*the first two weeks of school have been allright. nothing to extreme in either the positive or negative direction. my classes are good, my teachers are easy, and i see jenny, kate, amy, aubrey, liz, sara, kara, stac, david shef., steve, jess, ali, nikki, carly, kassie, tony f.(<-- my new buddy ), lauren, rachel l, rachel h., joanna, allison, ashley, timmy g., every day and run into nina occasionally so im lucky. oh! and on thurs. i saw melanie! i miss her and im sooo elated her and dave are going to hc this year.
*speaking of hc i think so far its mel n dave/kate n ryan//liz n john/stacey n brett/ lindsay n josh. but im sooo- xcited for it this yr! i better not get let down just bc i have insanely high expectations bc of last yr. but honestly- dont we all?
*but because of the discussion in humantities and me staying in last night watching the katrina telethon i feel the need to bitch about the situation in new orleans. (what can i say? its my political interest and part of me being a 48 yr old woman ) ok yea but it pisses me off. yesterday in class one of the kids (who happened to be african american) was all yea bush said he's gonna go into our stash of oil to lower gas proces. and everyone's like- wth? and he's like yea like in alaska n stuff. and so i went off. 1st of all i dont understand how any african american can be republican or in favor of bush. second of all alasks- ya it isnt just barren wastleands of snow. thers' endangered animals there and widlfie preserves that its illegal to dig oil in and bush wants to do it anyway. killing all those animlas and ruining one of the only natural habitats n such we have left in this country. fucking dumbass. not to mention- those levi's that broke in n.o? yea theyve been weak. and bush cut 80% of the funding to fix them- so they couldnt. and if they had? ya they wouldnt have broken. and then one girl in my class says"ya theres no way like- bush cant predict the weather" and im like holy crap! he didnt have to! it was one the news that it was gonna happen at least a week before it did. and it took him four days to get down there. 4 days. that's outrageous. and ya on t.v. its all the poor african american ppl that are down there. and yano why? bc all of the rich white ppl had the money/means to get the fuck out of there. so it was just the poor ppl left so bush doesnt care. and on the telethon last night (its also in the paper and on the news thismorning) its mike meyers and kanye west (<3) up there talking and mike is all reading the cue cards and you can tell that kanye's not. her's just saying w/e the hell he wants. he's all saying how its ridiculous how the media is portraying it/ how if you see an african american family it says theyre looting and if you see a white family it says theyre looking for food. and how it shouldnt be about race. and then mike comes in reading his nice cue card again and then kanye goes "george bush doesnt care about black people" and they cut him off. seriously- they cut to a clip. and then at the end when all the presenters/preformers were singing amazing grace for the finale kanye was the only person not there. and when he said it-you shoulda seen mike's face. total shock. and all the national gaurd n supplies they need down there are in iraq! we actually have our own hellhole for once that needs fixing but were too busy fixing someone else's that we created. and for the gas prices, theres south american countries that are offering us their oil at cheap prices adn we wont take it.y u ask? ... bc theyre communist. so pray for the ppl down there in that hellhole and pray for bush cause at this rate he'll end up in hell.
*now a lighter note- kelly went to a james taylor concert with her boyfriend last night!. and i am SOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous. she's not even back yet. gggrrr.... xoxo hope evryone has a good 3 day weekend!
