I mainly loved this episode because it was really, really pretty. High-tech forest! Glowing Pit of glowiness! Yaaay!

The last scene! On one hand, it was hysterical and I adored it-- although I do like to think that, after sixty years, this is still the show that five-year-olds can watch with their nostalgic grandparents. I don't think it actually crossed the line on that count, but then, I don't trust my own judgment because I was too busy giggling and punching the air. Mostly I'm glad he was (vaguely) non-consenting. Although, not really. Anyway.

I didn't really realize that Rusty's continuity is being erased! I saw it more as... a better explanation for why all of humanity seems to be unaware of the existence of aliens? Because the current explanation seems to be something along the lines of "Humans are dumb and don't pay attention", which goes against the Doctor's constant praise of how awesome humanity is. In which case, uh, I prefer the less insulting explanation.
