I will now continue my one year long lengthy tradition of making new years resolutions...
and because it's the most important thing in my life right now...My Drawing Resolutions:
don't get lazy about purportions or spend time only doing the easy bits
pay attention to my mark-making
start as loose as possible and for heaven's sake, not with the face!
observe! don't let my left brain lie to my right brain, trust my intuitions
have patience with my progress
don't get stuck with a style, experiment and try new things
remember to step back, literally and figuratively
Don't be afraid to put myself out on a limb
find what I love
create beauty
and for the rest of life...
nourish my friendships more, help them grow deeper instead of spreading myself thin over too many relationships
keep up fencing AND judo, even if it means getting my lazy self out of the house at 9:30 pm for practice
find classes to challenge myself, and read smart things (...)
have a life changing experience (can you really resolve to do that?)
be open to what the fates throw at me, and be willing to follow a path that I hadn't expected to discover
become a better communicator, espically when it comes to issues of emotional significance
be honest to myself and others
relax around people, don't worry about what they think...be myself
find who 'myself' is (there's another impossiblity) EDIT....find another piece in the puzzle of 'myself'
LIVE life (this one was also on last years....but there will never be a year when this resolution doesn't deserve to be on the list)
