This seems to be a long term average thing. I cannot increase the amount of sex merely by doing more of the housework for a few months.

No kidding! Or rather, you can probably increase it for a short period of time, until you *stop* doing the housework... I wonder what your wife has to say on that topic. :-)

Johan used to do a "cost / benefits" analysis on things like sending me flowers, making dinner and doing the dishes. I almost always won. :-)

I vote shenanigans; when I was married and contributing to the housework, I was never 'doing it right', which led to fights, which led to lack of sex.

On the other side of the coin, I've actually heard guys admit that they do a deliberately bad job of housework so their wives will get annoyed and tell them not to do it any more. In fact, I seem to recall that Dave Barry recommended it as a tactic.

Not that YOU would do anything like that. :-)
