Yay!
Good news: I'm going to be getting unemployment! And it'll be enough to pay my bills! Oh, happy day!!
Bad news: about 30 applications/resumes later, still no job. I did, however, receive a reply FINALLY from an office position in Corona through Craigslist. We'll see where this goes, if anywhere. I may just be overly excited for human contact from a craigslist reply I've sent. Otherwise, there's about four places I need to stop at on Monday on the way home from school. In about another week or two I swear I'm going to have applied to every retail/office within 50 miles. I'm being relentless.
More bad news. I just realized that those copywriting jobs pay about 18 cents less per word than I thought. That's right, it's TWO cents a word, not twenty that I'd get. More assignments have been posted finally, so maybe I'll tackle a few. It's pocket money really, but at this point I'm at homeless/beggar status and even a few dollars help. Sigh.
I also bought an outfit at Express. Business clothes! I have business pants, but somehow I have no nice business casual tops. None! So I bought one. And a pencil skirt (so hot, but not a slutty one). It went on the credit card, but I had a coupon, so there. I would like one more nice top at least, but I'll need to scour Marshalls or Ross for that one.
Rejected for Juniper credit to pay for a Macbook. Sad. Rejected from private loan for school because no cosigner. Ugh. I need to talk to my mom. UCLA incompletes still not resolved... I called the guy again and left a message. What's taking so long?
Bills paid, not much left for next month, but I should be getting a check in 10 days, so I think I'm going to be okay for now. Just gotta keep pushing, hunting, and applying. I'm seriously busting my ass in every way possible these days.
