Funly Drained

I'm seriously having so much fun here. I don't miss California. I miss people, but I don't miss people. Every day is a random adventure as nothing is planned out, and that's just the way I like it.

Today I'll go bullet form, because I'm too lazy to write out the story of what we did (we=Lorraine, Allison, me) otherwise.

+Had class from 10am to 12pm... came home, ate, figured out plan of action which changed as we went
+Headed to get Potbelly's (sandwiches) with Aliy's bf's brother who goes to George Mason Uni in Fairfax, VA
+Caught the metro to Wheaton, Maryland... to see/ride the longest escalator in the Western Hemisphere (!!) XD ~ randomness on the way there ensued
+Rode the escalator... took like 3 minutes to get to the end; its really steep and I nearly got vertigo, and it's the escalator at the exit of the Wheaton metro stop. Then we turned around before exiting the metro station completely and rode the escalator down to go back to DC.. LOL.

+Metroed back to DC and got off at Tensley to find "Politics and Prose" and assumedly awesome indie bookstore in north-west DC
+After much walking and sweating and complaining about the humidity and hoping it was worth the search, found Politics and Prose!
+LOVED Politics and Prose~ bought iced latte in little cafe, and two books (they have a JOURNALISM SECTION!): The Universal Journalist and Noam Chomsky's Manufacturing Consent akin to his documentary of the same name. *swoon*

+Metroed back home and got out at Dupont Circle, after leaving Aliy's bf's brother behind so he could make it to class back in Fairfax
+Stopped at Books a Million (another indie bookstore here--there're a lot [yay!]) to read some zines XD on way to Safeway
+Found Safeway and bought needed groceries ther, then walked home
+FINALLY home at like 8:30pm... we were out for like six hours *-*
+Napped! <3
+Cooked spaghetti dinner since I bought the meat about a day ago from Whole Foods

And that's the jist. I had a lovely time, though I'm super drained/exhausted. But man, so fun. I am happy~

Gah, the book party... I'll do it next time perhaps.

Oh! I might get a tattoo while here. In fact, almost positive I will. Something small so it's cheap... I'm so excited! :D

HAHAHAHA roomie just got home. Oh, I love this place.

adventures, busy, friends, dc
