I hate waiting for things. I suppose no one "likes" to wait. Waiting is that transitional time between things. It usually means that I no longer want to be doing what I'm doing and am anxious to start doing the new thing.
We have put in an offer on a little townhome. It's a short sale, which means that we won't hear anything for 6 weeks or more as the bank digs through its piles of offers. We are giving the bank the asking price and not asking for closing costs. I expect it to fly right through when they get to it.
But it's hard to wait!
Our current landlord is being dificult, refusing to give a rent verification to our mortgage banker with the excuse "we won't give the rent verification until you give notice". How is that suppose to work? How are people supposed to get mortgages or be approved for new apartments if this one won't tell them what a good tennant I am? It doesn't sound legal to me. But we got around it. I only had to print off bank statements for the past year.
I'm starting to do some deep cleaning and sort through closets. At least it makes me feel like I'm getting ready for the move.
Cross your fingers for us. We really don't want to stay here any longer than we have to.
