Ok all these rumors...
Yes I've heard that Dave supposedly pushed Britt down the stairs, yes I've heard about the fight the two of them were having at the time, and yes I know that Britt hit dave a couple of times herself.
Just from what I've seen in that apartment I have to say that if Britt was pushed down the stairs there I don't think she would have walked away just fine. Everyone knows that those stairs are very steep, and we can't forget that they are made of un-cushioned metal. And we all know that the bottom of the stairs is wood and last I saw there was a cabinet there as well. Does anyone truely believe that she would have walked out if she were pushed down the stairs? Even if she made it down the stairs straight, on lets say her back, she still would have crashed into the cabinet and been hurt that way. And I am also aware that Dave got his meds on friday, and that the reason he didn't have them to take for three days was because money he had planed to use for his meds was stolen, by the very person accusing him at this moment. I did not notice any serious mood swings in him when I know he was off his meds. Those kinds of drugs take a while to leave the system then it takes a bit longer for symptoms to appear. Dave knows he needs to stay on his meds. He's got to be aware that it is for life. Also on Friday I saw dave and he did not seem manic to me. And most people in a manic state are pretty easy to spot. He was normal and as far as I could see happy. If he did anything there was provocation, and I don't think even with provocation that he would attempt serious harm to anyone. A shove down dangerous stairs I consider serious harm. It's true I wasn't there, and only Britt and Dave know the true events of that night. But I also know that Jack was talking to him online at the time and telling me what was happening as she talked to him. I've also seen people so angry at another that they will make things up, accusations serious enough to warrent police. The police will find the truth I know that much, I trust in the police that much. And if the accusations are false then Britt will be the one facing charges. If Dave did something wrong then he will be arrested, and with claims he is manic he will be sent for a psyc evaluation to determine if he is in the state of mind to do anything harmful to others. If they deem him competent then he will go to jail till he is arraigned. All the last part can happen to dave before the psyc test, but a trial will not. Another thing is that one must remember that those in jail are frequently not given medication until it is deemed necessary.
