Roomie Update
He's doing pretty much the same today as when I saw him yesterday. He's drifting in and out of sleep, sometimes making sense when he talks and other times not so much. He did remember the doctor telling him that there is not reason for him to have to stay as long as he did his last visit to the hospital (2 months) and he made a comment to me about that randomly to me today. He also dropped the order for me to bust him out of there, so at least he's got his wits about him and is being himself. The nurse commented that he's been very specific about his likes and dislikes, and they had been letting him run the show, which is another good sign.
They're still pumping in shit loads of antibiotics and other medication to maintain his blood pressure. They did take him off of oxygen this morning. They're keeping an eye on how much they give him for pain meds and trying to rotate them, so he doesn't end up delirious like he did the last time he was in.
I'm exhausted. I only got a few hours of sleep yesterday morning and last night, probably about five before I got up and went in for my shift at the coffee house. I was fighting off sleep earlier tonight so I could head back into see him for a little bit tonight before I call it a day. I just got home, so I think that I'm going to grab a light dinner/snack and off to bed I go.
