Minion has recently developed a few interesting new habits. One makes me want to choke her and make her into a hat (and she's big enough now to make good on that threat) and a few others make me giggle. I've never had normal cats, I never will.
The first one is she has decided that she doesn't like anyone staying in her Louis's room and now daily will urinate on either the bed (not his, my old futon mattress) or clothing that is in that room. I should buy stock in Oxyclean and Natures Miracle we are going through so much of it. How do you tell a little black cat it's time to let it go and it's ok to move on?
Minion has decided that she loves, loves, loves Barbie clothes. She adores them and they are BFF's. A month or so ago, I started waking up and finding random Barbie clothes in bed with me. I assumed that the little girl who is staying with me was sneaking in my room when I was at work and playing with her barbies in my bed. After a week of this I mentioned it to her mom one morning when I woke up with more Barbie clothing next to me. She laughed and said that she knew how it had gotten there. She picked up a little Barbie dress and dropped it next to Minion. Minion went nuts. She batted it around, chased it, threw it up in the air and then picked it up in her mouth and carried it into my room. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard.
Since then, Minions Barbie clothing obsession has grown and I always have Barbie clothing strewn all over my room. My friend went out and bought Minion her own Barbie clothing. It turns out that pretty, sparkly dresses are Minions favorite, but when it comes down to it, any barbie clothing will do.
Minion has also decided that she really likes Crunch, or at least sleeping next to him. Crunch isn't too sure how he feels about that, but he lets her. Usually he has to put on a show of irritation first, but then snuggles down and goes back to sleep. He must be either getting used to it or liking it because if he gets up and leaves to eat, when he comes back, he goes back to the same spot he was in. Either that or he'll be damned if he's going to let that lil black kitty get his sleeping spot.
Please note that the gold sparkle next to Minion's head is a lovely gold Barbie jacket.
I found this photo taken the in the beginning of January. This is as close as they slept previously. If you look at these two photos, you will see that Minion is now close in size to Crunch. Look at how tiny she was in January. Yes, we're still working on her over eating issues. My new nick name for her is Buddha Belly.
Also, don't you love how Crunch always finds the best napping spots??
