Ramblings
Wow, so February 27 was my last update huh...I really do need to let you all know I'm alive more frequently. Not much news going on. The roomie moved out, the hubby decided it was time to "start" a family. Not much progress on that front so we've since decided that we're quite happy just the two of us and all the pets.
Speaking of pets, we've acquired a new dog. She's a lhasa apso, eight years old and her name was Fannie but we've altered it so we don't feel like we are talking about a read end when we address her. So her new name is Frannie. Like that huh? Very unoriginal but with her being so old, we can't exactly give her a new name, can we? Borris and Sven (the toroises) are both fine and Phoenix and Ares (the boas) are both eating again. I'm always happy when their hibernation ends. It's like having fresh air for once and you can breath deeply knowing they are indeed healthy. I always worry when they don't eat even though I know it's normal. Actually, we might have a new tortoise, Mr.Shade was driving along the road today and spotted an approximately five year old tortoise just wandering the street and brought him home, he's (the tortoise not the Mr.) currently occupying our back yard. Sometimes, I think my friend's are right, I'd be a regular Dr.DoLittle if I could.
Work is work as usual. Raises are due at the end of the week. I also go on vacation at the end of this week, April 30-May 6. Rock on, one free week of no stress. Of course, this also means the migraines and ulcers will probably kick in and work over time once I return to work. Why doesn't any one seem to work when I'm not around. Why does there seem to be a serious lack of work ethic these days? Or is it there and I'm just not seeing it?
On the gaming front, (for those of you who didn't know, I work at a video game store, I'm a manager) I picked up Kingdom Hearts II and let me tell you, if you don't already own this one, you MUST go out and get it right now. Buy it, rent it, I don't care but you HAVE to play it. I won't put up any spoilers but it is an awesome game. Advent Children came out today, but alas after picking up Frannie, my budget is a wee bit bent and I can't pick it up yet. I still have to take her to the groomer's so no extra money for frivolous merchandise. I'm thinking about getting God of War II but since it doesn't come out till February I still have some time. Jaws actually looks pretty good and I might just have to go ahead and get a 360 just to play Dead Rising. I'm really looking forward to the PS3 though. Any gamers out there want to give some input on what they want to see or what they're playing right now?
I'm not just about the Harry Potter you know. Although I do love it, I tend to only read a few fics every once in awhile now. I'm still working on two femmeslash fics with qurinas (sorry love I've been swamped at work) but other that that, I just skim over every one else's journals.
Other than that, nothing really crazy is going on, life is life and we get by with what we can. If any one has any specific questions that want updates on feel free to comment. I don't mind answering. And if you think I need to update, give me a swift 'Hey, you! Update already." And I will. I just tend to think I'm rather boring so don't do it as frequently as I should.
Oh yeah, still trying to get the Mr. to do my new tattoo, I cut my hair, it's now shoulder length, and my sister is finally starting cosmotology school. Yeah for being a guinea pig.
