I love this. A lot. I think my favorite part was when he smelt her hair, just because of the obvious correlation to last volume's finale.

Yes, the hair-smelling was quite noticeable, and I noticed before that Sylar fiddled with Maya's hair when he was hitting on her. So this being fanfic, I've concluded that he has a hair fetish. ;D

Today's been like, a day of anger, but I'm absolutely \o/ about this update! :D

SweetandCreepy!Gabriel is like, the best thing ever. Claire is a bit of a mystery despite being in her pov, but that's probably due to a lack of background information. *kicks self* It's kinda weird how she both wants to shadow him (out of fear) and then later goes on about getting a place of her own and leaving him to his life. And let's not forget (attraction) LET'S MAKEOUT NOW. Whaaat. I like her, but she confuses me.

I'll admit that Claire's reactions are a bit conflicted, and I may be struggling to convey what's wrong with her in the story. She's traumatised by what Sylar did to her family and she's terrified that Gabriel is going to turn into Sylar because she has no idea why that happened in the first place

I also appreciate your consideration of my confusion with Claire for future chapters. Gabriel comes across organic and personable, as evidenced by the enthused comments below; however Claire, while a character in her own right, seems less pinned down. It's good to hear we might get a bit of focus on her!

Yes, I think it's probably obvious when you dissect how I write that I'm a lot more interested in exploring the facets of Gabriel's personality than Claire's. But I'll bear that in mind. :)

LOL on the condoms. Yes, I'm going with the idea that Gabriel is hedging his bets in case he doesn't feel so chivalrous next time his hot new flatmate jumps on him.

Yes, I am trying to make Gabriel's creepiness cute. It's part of the fun of the story - taking as much of Sylar's twisted little ways as possible and making them more acceptable. I'm glad to know it's working. :)

Yes, Cuteandcreepy Gabriel seems to be a hit. You're right about the condoms (and now that it's become such a popular topic of conversation, I keep thinking about poor Zachary Quinto's condom in the MTV 360 picture). Gabriel is a cautious kind of guy, and he does fancy Claire a lot. :D
