Zeeg Meets the Lads
I have decided, after going over it with phoenixalpha, that my story is not so much an actual story as it is an extended vignette; I make this distinction because not an awful lot happens in it beyond the reader getting run over by the Exposition Bus. It's a pretty entertaining Exposition Bus, though (at least in my opinion). To prevent the current work from getting further out of control I capped it where I did. It currently feels a lot like the first chapter of a longer work.
Which I've pretty much decided it will be. Welcome to my shot at a serial novel, ladies and germs. I know I easily have at least two more Zeeg stories in me, and probably more. I'll try to remember to actually add in some framing conflict to connect 'em all together later later.
This is one of the first Varkhilm stories written that doesn't involve anyone related to a Varkhilm or Gloriaster student. Needless to say, if you have a hard-on for stereotypical drow culture, you will HATE HATE HATE this story, for reasons which will become overwhelmingly clear.
