so saturday i went to the summer to remember tour with stephen jerzak, the ready set, the color fred, and the scene aesthetic. can i just say: one of the best nights of my life.
i wasn't sure if i was going to be able to get in or not, but i got there about a half hour early and there was hardly anyone there, seriously, maybe twenty or thirty kids. paid twelve bucks to get in. got my spot side stage right at the front. i wish i had better camera equipment, then maybe i would have gotten better pictures.
i stayed up front for the local opener, tyler brown williams, and stephen. tyler brown williams is adorable and talented. i bought his cd but it's one that's like just burned, so it doesn't have the track names :(
okay so stephen jerzak? fucking adorable irl. and a chubster too haha. he is really good live, and very interactive. i loved it. he was all over the place, dancing and jumping, even though he only had about two hours of sleep the night before. he went around asking people why they went to shows, and i was one of the people he asked:
him: you, why do you go to shows?
me: -looks around-. ...me?
him: yes
me: ...because they're fun?
him: that is a really good answer
haha idek. but anyway. one of my friends, cj, has actually been friends with stephen for about two years, and they co-wrote a song together about a year and a half ago. so stephen pulled cj on stage to sing it with him. even though i'm not like ~buddy buddy with cj and his friends, it was nice knowing people there, and cody keeps recognizing me everywhere haha.
okay so best part all night: THE COLOR FRED.
holy fucking shit. so amazing. so talented. such an inspiration. it was really depressing the amount of love for him though. when the opening acts would be like "give it up for ___" he got the least cheers :( i was like wtf this dude has sold out stadiums and he's here in this dive bar playing for you. fucking appreciate.
so after he was done, he went outside and talked to people, then came inside and went out of his way to meet people. i was standing near him, trying to work up the balls to go say hi, and instead he walks over and starts a conversation with me. and, highlight of my night: I HUGGED HIM.
and he's coming back, most likely to the same place, on his next tour. sajdsakjndaks. can't fucking wait. my mom likes him, too haha. (:
okay this is really long. um. right now i feel like i'm going to throw up. mother nature decided to show up today without warning, and when i was laying down tonight i started getting horrible cramps, so i took a tramadol. after a couple hours i still didn't feel good and my mom told me i could take another one. so now i'm wired but i feel like i'm about to crash, i feel like i'm high even though i'm not, and i can't open my mouth because i think i'm going to throw up. i think i should try to sleep.
anyone who actually read all this gets cookies, because holy shit this is long.
