Yeah, I really do. The idea of the pairing came to me after watching LARP & The Real Girl for the second time. Probably because I'm rewatching the show from the beginning so I've been thinking about Jo a lot too. So yeah... But yes, your idea of how they meet is just pure gold. *tucks away plotbunny for later* :)
Okay, maybe love was a bit strong. But I do like reading them. Especially if there's potential for Dean to get angry, feel guilty about Sam getting hurt. I'm actually working on one now.
Funny story... we had mice up in our attic last week. So my dad is up there at 3 am (2 hours before my alarm went off for work) trying to get rid of them. I was groggy from sleep, tempted to crawl out of bed to see what was going on and figured 'screw it. mom will tell me in the morning' as I pulled a pillow over my head trying to block out the light pouring into my room. Now, I'm not entirely sure why but through all of that craziness I started coming up with a fic idea. Sam as a little boy seeing John come home from a hunt with Dean helping him. Sam's confused, tired and a bit scared. Which later morphs into Sam and Dean as young adults, hunting with their father, Sam getting hurt, John laying on the guilt to Dean etc.
And that's when I finally fell back asleep. About 10 minutes before I had to get up. :P So yeah, you'll have that fic to look forward too (with the weird, totally unrelated backstory, unless you count my wandering, tired mind). Yay?
Aww, you really think so? I hope it'll at least be interesting and fun.
Whoops, my line there was supposed to read that I was glad you liked "my idea" for Charlie and Jo (gives self 50 lashes with a wet noodle!) but I'm glad you like the idea of them together as well. I just rewatched "Defending your Life" and those scenes between Jo and Dean are just as gut wrenching and beautiful now as they were when I first saw them. And thanks for the kind words about the plotbunny!
Ooo, new fic in the works? Cool. Sorry you got woken up like that but if it sparked a fic idea that's kind of a silver lining, eh? Hope your Dad got the critter!
DYL was sad but beautiful. It was just so nice to have a lovely final moment between Jo and Dean (and the writer's seemed to have finally figured out that people didn't want them 'together', but having Jo have a crush on Dean was okay. Cause c'mon, who wouldn't have a crush on Dean? LOL).
Can't wait to read it when you're done! And yay for getting the mouse.
Agreed! And yeah, I like that she has a crush on Dean but that they never officially got together. In my opinion it makes the whole Charlie/Jo thing even better. Because I think Jo would be attracted to Charlie since she's so much like Dean (although she's kinda geeky like Sam too :)).

Yep! I'm already looking forward to both you and Shane reading the new fic once I finish with it. And yes, he did finally get the mouse.
