You may have heard me say how little I like writing kisses in m/m fic. And you many also have heard me say that I would probably never write Cooper/Sherman slash. This is me eating my words.

HOLY COW I LOVE THIS. I love every nuance of it, and also, it's extremely hot, but mostly I'm enthralled with your characterization of Cooper. #2 is the gut-punch of this thing - a kiss like a blow, and then the explanation from Cooper taking the breath out of Ben. Dude. This whole thing is tremendous, and the ending, whoa. *happy dance!!!*

Oooh, I absolutely loved this. Tight writing, lovely characterization, and Ben was so adorable in the beginning, with all his wondering snout John and ephraim.

And that line about Ben trying to remember something, likened to chasing marbles? gorgeous.

OMG that was so perfect and very in-character! I could easily picture both of them in your writing. You did an amazing work here and I hope you continue writing Southland fics!

I agree with you about the boys--I'm starting to write in this fandom and they're very difficult to grasp.

they are hard to write, because they are both so reined in, and never say more than they can help (I think there's maybe one dialogue sentence of more than three or four words in this whole fic)--but absolutely volcanic on the inside....
