...so...I just found out that my school district will be cutting anywhere from 21-80 positions (depending on whether or not the budget passes...which it won't since most of the town chooses to send their children to private schools, and would rather their tax dollars NOT be spent on public education).
And that means...non-tenured teachers go first.
It's highly likely that I will be unemployed as of the end of June.
And so, Mr. Christie, I say, "FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE! BY DENYING RESOURCES TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS, YOU ARE FUCKING WITH THE FUTURES OF CHILDREN ALL OVER THE STATE! AND JUST WHERE DO YOU THINK WE'RE GOING TO PUT ALL THOSE EXTRA KIDS WHEN YOUR BUDGET CUTS FORCE DISTRICTS TO GET RID OF TEACHERS? SHALL WE INCREASE THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN A CLASS TO 30? 40? 50?!? YOU ARE A MONSTER."
