MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Unfortunately, for the first time since he was born, my brother will NOT be around today...he has to work. He worked last night, and will be working today, New Year's Eve, and New Year's day (in addition to various other days during the week). This just goes to show you - if you do your job right, they punish you by scheduling you to work at the most inconvenient times.
The good news is that he has tomorrow off (if only because he traded shifts with someone else...really? REALLY? They had him working all weekend? Not cool...), so we will officially celebrate Christmas then.
Today I'm driving up to my parents' house and hanging out. Nothing special, just me, my mom, and my dad...apparently dad wants me to bring the super-awesome 5 hour BBC version of "Pride and Prejudice"...perfect timing, since I'm about to start reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It also means he'll be calling me "Lizzie" all day. Hey - if I get Mr. Darcy in the end, I ain't complaining.
