He blew air onto his palms. He didn’t think the night would be as cold as this. His eyes wandered around, looking for his object of waiting which still hadn’t arrived yet. There weren’t lots of people here. From where he stood, he could spot two couples having their precious time together. A smile was on his face as an optimistic thought came across his mind. If what he did tonight succeed, he would be like them too.
After nearly three years being in love with his best friend, he finally got courage to confess his feeling. He knew he was jeopardized their friendship. However after watching how regret his friend was because he didn’t confess to his crush who unknowingly also had the same feelings as him, he told himself that he didn’t want to be like that.
He didn’t want life with that regret. He couldn’t do that.
His thought was broken when he caught his best friend coming on his way. His heart, only God knew how fast it was beating. This is it, he thought as he waved his hand.
“It’s so cold,” his best friend said first. “Why can’t we just talk this at home?” he asked curiously.
“Because… I don’t want anyone to disturb us,” he answered, trying to calm his heart, “What I’m going to say is not a joke,” he gulped and he didn’t let the latter to ask anything before he continued, “I’ve fallen for you.”
“W-what?”
“I love you.”
