Ok, so I know that the fun and frolics of the next part is supposed to be the climax (no pun intended) to this chapter. But Mer's mental meanderings of Derek's delectable bod were the highlight for me. It was like da Vinci or Michaelangelo describing their own works of art. Brilliant, just brilliant.

What's it like to be a genius?

I know that you are dying to be done with this fic so that you can have a break and get them to the altar and move them the heck on. But I for one would love a chapter where they celebrate her passsing her exam. The exam has been such a constant presence these past 10 chapters or so, I'd love to see it and them have some closure regarding it. Loved how loving and supportive he is being with her too, not just as a man in love with her, but as a fellow doctor who really is able to recognise her professional abilities.

Thanks! That page-long bit where Meredith is considering her favorite parts of Derek was probably my favorite thing to write in the whole chapter. Next chapter deals with the exam :)

hahaha its okay. It totally went with the whole theme of Mere drooling over Derek's body, so I'm not upset, I just wasn't expecting it and it brought back unpleasant memories, of, lets just say, someone's something that was/is not as attractive or delicious as a Patrick Dempsey's someone or something. teehee. Sensation is goooooood.

I'd have to agree with the official freckle researcher down there. What's it like to be a genius? This was so awesome!!! I also agree with the idea of post-test celebration; there's been so much buildup that we really need it - and so does Mere, I bet! Derek's right about information leaking, too. When I was in school, I would study for tests until I could literally feel the information coming back out my ears - that's when i knew it was time for a break. And I did fine. So yay, for Derek distracting her. Plus, sex will help her unwind, right? It's theraputic! *giggle* Off to the next part!
