When they climbed into the car, Meredith was tired.  She was tired, and stuffed, and she wanted nothing more than to crawl into bed.  She had to get up at four for another long shift, and it was already well into the evening.

woah. good chapter.. i'm glad that mer figured out that Derek was feeling like crap. the scene in the bed at end makes me really really wish you wrote the show itself.

Hands down the best mer/der story I have ever read. Derek "Thank you for maybe kids, Mere," ah, sooo freakin touching. I sat down the whole day, cancelled plans and read the whole story. You are so talented, just please, for all mer/der fans, keep doing what you are doing. It's what keeps us sane when what happens on the show makes us want to pull out our hair, strand by strand.

Aww poor Derek! I loved how concerned with Derek Mer was. She can get caught up in her own thoughts sometimes, but I think she did a great job here if just trying to worry about Derek, and Derek only. Even though she kept accidentally babbling on, and having to backtrack, which was adorable.
