Any of you who donate at least $7 and send a copy of your receipt (you may black out personally identifiable information if you wish) to
my e-mail address will be included in a raffle. I will accept raffle receipt submissions until September 24th, after which I'll pick a name at random from a hat. The winner will then be given the opportunity to send me a fic prompt that follows the rules I've
outlined here. When I return from TDC, I will write a response to the prompt, aiming to be finished within 4 weeks of the Challenge (assuming timely prompt submission). My response will be a short story. I don't want to put a hard limit or guarantee on word count, but I promise I'll do my best to give you your money's worth.
I reserve the right to decline a prompt if I truly don't think I can write it, but if this happens, I will do my utmost to work with the prompt author to reach a satisfactory compromise on subject matter.
If the raffle appears to be popular enough, I'm also planning to do an auction, but only if I get enough participation to make it worthwhile. If I *do* launch an auction, your contributions for the raffle will count toward any bids you make, so don't hold back here to save for later! Although $7 is the minimum I will accept for the raffle, I encourage you to consider donating more. $7 is cheaper than a paperback book these days, and 100% of this is going to a
great cause.
You can submit your donations here. A huge thank you to everyone who participates!
