Holy crap! I expected there to be no sex for a while, because Derek is in such a bad shape. Silly me, didn't think of the various possibilities of sex and that it can also be a rather one-sided thing. So... holy crap! :-)

Hehe, yes, intimacy comes in many flavors. I enjoyed working that in. I certainly didn't expect it, but then I was suddenly writing it and it fit, so I kept it :)

Oh Derek, oh my .....fans self.....

I do love it that your Derek thinks his appearance and his scars and scabs will impact how attractive he think Mer will find him. I don't think it is a vanity thing, but is very tied into PD himself, and how he portrays him. Yeah, he knows women find him hot, but I don't think he internalizes in ways that would make him think his McDreamyness is a slam dunk no matter what.
